I need assistance resolving two JavaScript bugs in an existing HTML/CSS/JS project designed for an Nginx localhost (Port-ID 44999). Key details are provided in a separate PDF file. The project should integrate seamlessly with WebStorm IDE and the existing [login to view URL] setup.
Scope of Work:
Bug 1: Mousemove Event Listener Issue
Context: The issue occurs in [login to view URL] at line 330, where a mousemove event is not triggering as expected. Debugging attempts (e.g., added [login to view URL]() statements) have failed to identify the cause. The relevant function (drawOverlay) is never executed.
Goal: Resolve the issue to ensure the event listener works as intended.
Bug 2: Misaligned Popup Window
Context: Clicking on an orange overlay (triggered by mousemove) creates a draggable in-page popup. However, when the background (a PDF document) is scrolled, the popup becomes misaligned with the overlay.
Goal: Ensure the popup and overlay area remain synchronized during scrolling, even if the popup is no longer visible.
Deliverables:
Fully functional fixes for both issues.
Solutions compatible with the current project environment (WebStorm IDE and Nginx configuration).
Requirements:
** Strong experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SQLite, and Nginx.
