Senior Software Applications Engineer

Descripción de empleo<br /><br />Red Hat's IT team is looking for a Senior Software Application Engineer to join us in Bogotá, Colombia. In this role, you will be involved with all aspects of defining and developing innovative software that supports our Engineering team. You will join a high performing team that is building tools to allow Red Hat to continue to grow at an astonishing rate.<br /><br />Primary job responsibilities <br /><br />Work on Java-based web applications with an emphasis on integration of third-party systems using web services, portlets, and other web-based technologies<br />Define and develop innovative software to support Red Hat Engineering<br />Collaborate with both Red Hat associates and professionals from our partners<br />Partner with different executive levels within Red Hat and our clients<br />Required skills <br /><br />Solid object-oriented software development skills<br />Outstanding JEE development experience<br />Experience with Java open source technologies and frameworks, e.g. Hibernate, Richfaces, Seam, and JSF-RI<br />Deep experience with Linux and UNIX system administration or app servers like Red Hat JBoss Middleware<br />Experience developing and implementing web-based systems<br />Experience collaborating with technical teams in remote and international locations<br />Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript, and web 2.0 technologies<br />Experience with Agile development methodology is a plus<br />Experience using databases, especially Oracle and MySQL, including good SQL query writing and tuning skills<br />Experience implementing the following technology standards:<br /><br />Portlet Specification and API (JSR 286)<br />Web Services for Remote Portlets 1.0 (WSRP)<br />Portlet Bridge (JSR-301)<br />Content Repository for Java Technology API (JSR-170)<br />Java Sever Faces 1.2 (JSR-252)<br />Java Management Extension (JMX) 1.2<br /><br />Red Hat is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and an affirmative action employer.
