Contest Brief

I am a pastry chef and content creator and I will use the farmhouse to shoot content for my social media and for cooking classes. I am seeking a dedicated professional with a flair for interior design, exterior landscaping, and roofing. The project will encompass a comprehensive redesign of all outdoor and interior spaces in my farmhouse.

Key Requirements:
- Complete interior redesign of all areas of the farmhouse
- Landscaping enhancements to improve the farmhouse's exterior appeal
- Roofing improvements to ensure structural integrity and aesthetic appeal

Please read description and instructions carefully. I am attaching pictures of the actual farmhouse with measurements. I am also attaching pictures for inspiration in a separate file. I like Syrian patio designs; I like bohemian interior designs. And for first floor I want retro vintage. I am including more instructions below. I don’t have the floorplan - it's an old farmhouse which my father built 15 years ago.

Thank you for joining this competition to renovate my old farm house. My farm is in Saudi Arabia. Eastern Province. I am using the iphone measurement tool. It’s not very accurate but close to real measures. That shouldn’t be a problem.

I am looking for a total makeover. This is a 150 sqm building, consisting of the below: Kindly use the name of each area when submitting the proposal

(A)Ground Floor:
1- Farm house facade
2- Patio/Grill area
3- Entrance/storage room.
4- Main Living Room/Dining Room
5- Kitchen
6- Bathroom 1
7- Living Room #2
8- Bedroom
9- Ensuite Bathroom.

(B) First Floor:
Currently not built.

Following are the design requirements I need for each area:

Ground Floor:

1- Farm house façade:
I want a nice design for the façade and landscaping in front of and around the house.

2- Patio/Grill Area
I need full landscaping of the area surrounding the patio.
I need this to be redesigned as with a Syrian patio inspiration. Picture inspiration attached.
The current fountain is not operational. Please cancel it and renovate the patio pathway accordingly.
There has to be a ramp for kids carts and elderly/wheelchair access.
The sitting and grill areas should be redesigned. we can extend the patio towards the south to have the grill area separately.

3- Entrance/Storage Room
I want this to be a nice entrance of the house/ might use this as an air-conditioned smoking room during the hot weather. Will still be used for storage.

4- Main Living/dining room. Entrance
This normally seats around 30 people every weekend. The dining table seats 6 people. The couches will still be on both sides of the room. the sofas will be all light brown color. Kindly suggest a new look/design for this room to be more inviting. I am open to suggesting another location for the dining table and TV and carpeting. The floor has to be covered with a carpet all over.

5- Kitchen
Kindly suggest a better interior design for the kitchen. I cannot change the cabinets. Will still be brown. I need ideas on how to make this area look better.

6- Bathroom 1:
Kindly suggest a new design. Toilet/shower/sink. Cannot change location.

7- Living Room # 2:
Kindly suggest a new interior design for this living room.

8- Bedroom:
This will be my bedroom. I wish to have a bohemian interior design. I imagine the bed will be facing the big window. But I am open to other suggestions. See pictures I like for inspiration. Should also include a computer table somewhere. A small vanity and a small cabinet for clothes. The side shelving unit will still be used in this room. You can suggest another location as well.

9- Ensuite bathroom for the bedroom. Kindly suggest a nice design for this tiny bathroom.

First Floor:

I wish for this area to be open concept, retro vintage design, with high ceiling. built to include :

- A nice seating area with a big TV.
- A big retro kitchen. Wood all over. Too many plants. A very long kitchen island.
- Ceiling to floor windows east and west and south. (overlooking the farm) North is overlooking the neighbors farms so it’s better to have it as a wall for the kitchen.
- A big dining table for 12 people.
- A bathroom. Make sure the plumbing is adjacent to the ground floor bathrooms. The bathroom should be basic with a nice design.
- A nice balcony with maximum 4 seats.

I am a pastry chef and content creator and I will use the first floor to shoot content for my social media and for cooking classes. I have no preference for location of each area. But I want this floor to be AMAZING with a WOW factor.
