In a recent project, we leveraged the power of Rocky DEM software to analyze the behavior of bulk granular materials within eleven unique silo designs. This in-depth simulation provided us with crucial insights into how the material flows, settles, and interacts with the silo walls during various stages. By simulating filling, discharge, and storage scenarios, we were able to proactively identify potential issues like ratholing and uneven distribution, leading to optimized silo geometry for smoother material flow. Rocky DEM simulations also helped us predict wall stresses, allowing for a robust silo structure that can withstand the forces exerted by the material. Furthermore, the analysis identified bottlenecks hindering discharge efficiency, enabling us to refine the design for optimal material flow. Ultimately, this project empowered us to design safer, more efficient, and cost-effective silos for bulk material handling.

It's a 135 degree inclined 50 mm diameter pipe with a small opening at one face, and a large outlet. Water is entering at one end with a velocity of 2 m/s, analyse the problem using multiphase VOF modelling.

I am excited to share a recent project we completed, titled "Estimation of Crack and Its Growth Using Monte Carlo Simulation for Gas Turbine Blade," carried out using ANSYS. This project focused on accurately estimating crack initiation and growth in gas turbine blades, critical components subjected to extreme conditions. By employing advanced Monte Carlo simulation techniques within ANSYS, we were able to model the probabilistic nature of crack development, enhancing our predictive maintenance strategies and ensuring the reliability and safety of these essential parts. This innovative approach not only improves operational efficiency but also extends the lifespan of the turbine blades, showcasing our commitment to cutting-edge engineering solutions.

The project involved creating a detailed geometric model of the tool and workpiece, defining material properties, and setting up boundary conditions and cutting parameters. The simulation captured the stress distribution, temperature changes, and material removal process during milling.
