I'm on the hunt for an experienced developer who can help me with a custom cryptocurrency portfolio tracker. The user-interface can be very simple and barebones - just a formatted table. Critical Features: - Real-time price updates: This is the heart of this project. The application needs to furnish real-time price updates every 5 seconds (user configurable) - API Integration: Price data will be expected to be sourced from a reliable API. - User will provide mandatory fields you need to call APIs ( contract-address, chain-id). - Most APIs have a rate limit of something like 120 calls/minute so you need to bundle and query multiple crypto into a single call. Most APIs allow upto 30 to be bundled in one call. - There can be any number of cryptocurrencies to track, anywhere from 10 to 10,000 - so it'd be important to bundle calls to respect the rate limit. Ideal Skills: - Experience with cryptocurrency API integrations (such as GeckoTerminal API, DexScreenerAPI, DexView API - any of those three) - A good understanding of cryptocurrencies and the difference between 'coin' and 'token' , price vs marketcap etc. Technical Stack: I have shared linux hosting so you can use any language that works there - PHP, Python, Node.js etc. I'm attaching a screenshot of how the data might look like. You'll notice there are three types of values 1. User provided input values 2. API gathered values 3. Calculated values (we'll perform some calculations based on values from API and user input values and populate the calculated values) Additional features: - I don't need a user/password system because there would only be 1 user but I still need to password-protect the portfolio so that it is not accessible to just anybody on the web. You can see whats the best/easiest way to implement that.
