We are looking to hire a developer to build an application that will monitor Twitter for specific keywords in real-time and send desktop alerts when these keywords are mentioned. Project Requirements: The application must allow users to define a list of keywords. It should monitor Twitter for mentions of those keywords in real-time. Upon detecting any mention of the keyword(s), the app should send an instant desktop notification (alert) to the user. The app should be lightweight and run in the background without significant resource usage. The solution must comply with Twitter's API usage policies (if using the official API for keyword tracking). It should have an easy-to-use interface where users can add/remove keywords. If possible, integrate an option to filter mentions based on the type of content (tweets, retweets, replies, etc.). Skills Needed: Experience with Twitter API and integration. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or any relevant language to build this application. Experience with desktop notification systems (Windows and Mac). Familiarity with developing background-running apps. Ability to handle rate-limiting or other constraints related to Twitter API. Additional Information: The application should support at least Windows and MacOS. The notifications should be highly customizable (sound, urgency, etc.). Code must be well-documented and easy to maintain. Please provide relevant examples of previous work related to API integrations, desktop applications, or keyword monitoring tools.
