Add ActiveX controls to a DataGridView

We have an ActiveX control used to enter linear dimension such as feet-inches-fractions. We need to use this control to enter or edit dimensions in VB.NET DataGridView column(s). One grid would have 3 columns; Quantity (numeric only), Length (using the ActiveX control) and Piece ID (string data). The second grid would have 4 columns: Quantity (numeric only), Width (using the ActiveX control), Length (using the ActiveX control) and Piece ID (string data). The grid would be unbound with data stored in an array as it is entered. For the ActiveX columns, the data stored in the array will not be the same as the displayed data. We have another ActiveX control with a property for numeric only. If possible, we would like to create a new grid with these controls as column types.
