Communication product - IOS / Android to Radio Interface

Project :

To develop a mesh style communication product between iphone and android devices

This will be a port of an existing Windows/WinCE Prototype

Skills Must Have:

Writing Text Based Applications for IOS/Mobile

Writing Graphics Based Applications for IOS/Mobile

Writing code to access low level hardware, in particular

- BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy)

- GPS

Solid understanding of threads, mutexes and shared data

Ability to write thread safe, multithreaded code

Good understancing of C.

Skills Desirable:

Writing Text Based Applications for Android/Mobile Devices

Writing Graphics Based Applications for Android/Mobile Devices

Understaning of Bluetooth low energy devices, for example

- HM-10, [login to view URL]

- HM-11, [login to view URL]

Understanding of floating point arithmetic and handling of arithmetic exceptions

Understanding of regression test techniques, test replay methods, in particular

to replace real HW interfaces with inputs from files for GPS data, or BLE data.

The Project will consist of 2 phases:

Phase 1:

Creating the low level code for accessing hardware elements of

- BLE/HM-10

- GPS

Porting some existing C code from the Windows/WinCE environment

Accessing the UART(RX/TX) side of the BLE/HM-10 device for Terminal-IO

Creating a solid API for the following interfaces

- BLE/HM-10 (Transmit / Receive)

- GPS (Read)

Phase 2:

Usage of the API from phase 1 to build a Graphics application containing

simple refresh animation and a configuration/control user interface.

Understanding of simple co-ordinate geometry.
