I have a need for an example program I can build off of - At one time, years ago, I was very familiar with C++ on DOS and Windows and now I need to get a jump start on writing code for Linux. I need to learn how to set up the development environment and how to troubleshoot and correct any configuration issues with the environment. The program needs to include an encrypted (TLS 1.1+) and an unencrypted TCP/IP client and server such that I can communicate and exchange data between two separate instances of the program much like an echo server/client pair. I've watched seemingly dozens of how-to videos on installing the C++ environment and they never show what to do if my results don't match their results. August 2nd/3rd week.
