Custom code on WordPress Site Cross-Browser Compatibility Fix

I am in the process of building a website in WordPress, where I have coded the header in a custom CSS/JS plugin.
Everything works fine when the website is open in Chrome, but when I switch to Safari, the switcher between private/business doesn't work.
When I mention private/business, it’s just the Danish version of private/business. You can change the language of the site if it’s easier for you to navigate around it.
The switcher has several functions, as it needs to change the URL depending on which page you are on, and where it should direct you. It has two exceptions for how it changes the URL. On pages that have the same URL name, but end in either -erhverv/ or -privat/, it switches between them. If no similar URL exists with the opposite suffix (-erhverv/ or -privat/), it will redirect to the homepage. If you are already on the homepage and click ‘privat’ to go to the ‘private homepage,’ it redirects from one defined URL to another defined URL.
Additionally, the content and styling of the menu change depending on whether you are on private or business in the switcher.
I have built it using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and I would really like it to have exactly the same functionality, styling, and everything as it does in Google Chrome in all other browsers.
I would like to avoid changing or adding anything in PHP, and prefer to do everything in my plugin
