Create a custom Odoo module to automate customer intake, job tracking, inventory
management, customer updates, quotations, and invoicing for a premium tyre service and
experience zone. The module should streamline operations and integrate various
functionalities into a cohesive workflow.
Scope of the Module:
1. Customer Intake:
- Develop an intake form within Odoo that captures customer details (name, contact info,
vehicle type, service requirements).
- Integrate the form with Odoo CRM to store and manage customer data.
2. Customer Relationship Management (CRM):
- Use Odoo CRM to manage customer interactions and track service requests.
- Implement automated data sync from the intake form to Odoo CRM for seamless
record-keeping.
3. Job Tracking:
- Create a job tracking feature within Odoo Projects or a custom task board in the module.
- Include job stages such as “New Intake,” “In Progress,” and “Completed.”
- Allow the assignment of tasks to users and provide status updates with the ability to
upload job-related photos.
4. Inventory Management:
- Use Odoo’s built-in inventory management capabilities to track tire stock, spare parts,
and other consumables.
- Implement automatic stock updates when items are used for services and set reorder
level alerts.
5. Quotations and Invoicing:
- Utilize Odoo’s invoicing module to create and send professional quotations and invoices.
- Ensure integration with the inventory system to reflect used items and services in
invoices.
- Include customization for GST compliance and PDF export for quotations and invoices.
6. Customer Updates:
- Build a feature that sends service progress updates to customers via email or integrates
with WhatsApp for direct updates.
- Include options to attach job photos to these updates.
7. Photo Storing and Sharing:
- Integrate a storage system within Odoo for job-related photos.
- Develop a method for generating shareable links or attachments for customers through
the customer portal or WhatsApp.
Technical Requirements:
- Use Odoo's core modules as a base (CRM, Inventory, Invoicing, Projects).
- Develop custom forms, workflows, and automations tailored to the service workflow.
- Integrate with third-party APIs if needed for WhatsApp communication.
- Ensure data consistency and compliance with relevant data protection standards.
User Permissions and Roles:
- Define roles for the 2 users with permissions for accessing customer data, managing jobs,
updating inventory, and handling invoices.
- Provide a user-friendly interface with minimal training required.
Expected Deliverables:
1. A fully functional Odoo module covering the outlined scope.
2. Documentation on module installation, configuration, and usage.
3. Training resources or a brief guide for users on operating the module.
