To enhance and optimize three essential features—Travel Connections, Jobs Board, and Marketplace—on a WordPress-based community platform. The site uses a combination of pre-installed plugins and requires additional development for streamlined functionality and a modern design.
Platform Details:
Login System: Google login is already functional, implemented using the Nextend Social Login plugin.
Community Features: Managed using BuddyPress for user profiles, activity feeds, and group discussions.
Travel Companion Search: Enabled with Google Maps integration, allowing users to find and connect with fellow travelers based on location.
Theme: The site is built with a custom theme designed using DIVI AI for a visually appealing and responsive design.
Current Gaps: No plugin is installed yet for the Marketplace feature.
Scope of Work:
1. Travel Connections
Purpose: Facilitate travel companion connections within the community.
Requirements:
Enhance existing Google Maps integration to support detailed filters (e.g., destination, date, and travel type).
Improve the user interface for posting and searching travel plans.
Add messaging or request-to-connect functionality between users.
2. Jobs Board
Purpose: Create a job listing feature for users to post and search for opportunities.
Requirements:
Use or replace existing plugins (e.g., WP Job Manager) to allow frontend job posting.
Enable advanced search filters (e.g., title, category, location).
Integrate resume upload and management for job seekers.
Restrict job posting and searching to verified users with visible verification badges.
3. Marketplace (B2B Lounge)
Purpose: Establish a space for users to exchange services, find vendors, or showcase products.
Requirements:
Suggest and implement a plugin for listing services or products with filters for categories and location.
Create vendor profiles or add a tagging system for service providers.
Include an inquiry/contact form for each listing.
Optional: Add a rating/review feature for vendors and listings.
