I have a functional .jar application that retrieves PDFs from a specific Gmail account based on a provided date range. It then extracts data from PDF invoices and bills to generate an Excel report. I need a Java developer to implement several minor modifications to enhance the tool's functionality. Key Modifications: -> Remove the Profit % column from the sheet3 - “Order level view - Combine Inv” In the sheet4 - P&L per item, Change the last column- “Profit %” to “Profit Margin %” and use this formula to calculate: ((“Sell/unit” - “Cost/unit” ) / “Sell/unit”) *100 . And show only 2 decimal places. -> I am not able to sort the pdf by date. In the sheet, all the cells are formatted as Text and when i try to format the dates column, some cells format is changed and some stays as is. Even when i try to do the total for the profit, i first need to select the whole profit column and then change its format to number, only then i can use the sum formula to do the total. Can we fix this? -> Fix the errors in the PDF Logbook -> Need to convert first rows to header rows in all the sheets -> Add a total row in Bottom of Tax Liability -> Check why Address cells are empty when invoices are ran with the local option -> For PDFs from Jan to Apr, I have the files in a local folder, so when I run the app locally, I think it runs fine. But then i sent all the PDFs from this folder to the gmail ID and then ran the app from this gmail and in the final result i am missing some rows. The ideal candidate for this job should have: Proficiency in Java. Experience with PDF extraction. Strong knowledge of Excel handling in Java. Familiarity with Gmail Integration Please note that the tool is already functional; it simply needs these modifications to become more efficient. I’m looking for a developer who can quickly understand the existing codebase and implement these changes effectively.
