Fire Door Inspection Report Automation

Introduction My fire door inspection reports are created on an iPhone operated template. This is available from “Safety Culture” and I subscribe to the Premium edition which allows me to export the reports “Safety Culture” created to both a Word and also an Excel format. Word Format The export format contains all of the data which I have collated in my iPhone report into a lengthy and detailed report, complete with photographs illustrating each defect which I have identified and listing remedial work which I have deemed is necessary. What I require as far as Word is concerned is the following: A Macro, triggered on the click of a button, to ensure that the report is modified to suit the attached example of how I would like the report to look after triggering the Macro. All the remedial information (which is already mentioned within the report underneath each defect) is then grouped together at the end of the report (see raw data example) which I have then deleted as it is too much information for the reader. I would like the Macro to do this for me. I would like the Macro to do this for me. The report for each new door number starts on a new page – take care because sometimes, the new door number just happens to start on a new page and I wouldn’t want to see a blank page at any point in the report. So, when that happens, the programme needs to know that the new door number is already in the right place and therefore it is not necessary to throw a page. I would like the Macro to do this for me. Excel Format The export format contains all of the data which I have collated in my iPhone report into a lengthy and detailed report (without photographs). What I require as far as Excel is concerned is the following: Because the Word format report is so detailed and covers all bases, I want to use the Excel format to provide me and my clients with an “Overview Report” which can be produced by a Macro at the click of a button. As you will note from the first tab on the attached report, the Excel report produces all the information across two rows. I managed to amend this in the second tab so that the information is rotated 90 degrees and can be view in two columns (instead of rows). There should be a blank row inserted whenever there is a change in the floor (column A). The green highlighted rows are the ones containing some of the information which I would like to see appear in the “Overview Report”. The full scope of information can be found in the screenshots I have taken and included in the attached Powerpoint presentation Safety Culture Template Options for Export to Excel and then Macro Button jan 3 2025 – this shows you how the Safety Culture template works and what options are available. A good example is illustrated on slide 15 where a door can be: CERTIFIED, NON-CERTIFIED or OTHER. If it is CERTIFIED, it is then a PASS or a FAIl. If it is NON-CERTIFIED,there is an additional question on which I have to report ie. Fire Door Assembly without complete evidence/certification of fire performance? YES or NO or N/A. If it is OTHER, it becomes a FINAL EXIT DOOR ASSEMBLY RE EXIT DOOR where these particular doors can be COMPLIANT or NON-COMPLIANT or N/A. Please read the screen dumps contained in the Powerpoint file carefully as it should explain how many options need to be taken into account to ensure that all available information is correctly captured. I would like the Macro to do all of this for me.
