Job Summary:
As a Fundraiser / Donation Coordinator, you will be responsible for handling donor inquiries, communicating our mission and needs effectively, and helping us increase donations. You will focus on engaging donors for specific events, such as birthdays or special occasions, and ensure they feel valued and informed about the impact of their contributions.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle inbound inquiries about donations and provide information on the organization’s mission and current projects.
Engage with potential donors, especially around specific events (e.g., birthday celebrations), and suggest suitable donation packages.
Build positive relationships with donors, ensuring they understand the impact of their support.
Negotiate donation amounts tactfully, helping increase contributions while maintaining donor satisfaction.
Record and update donor interactions in our database to track and analyze donation trends.
Qualifications:
Experience in fundraising, sales, customer service, or donor relations is preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a natural ability to build rapport and engage people over the phone.
Ability to understand and passionately convey our mission and impact.
Excellent negotiation skills with a focus on empathetic and positive interactions.
Organized and able to maintain accurate records of donor interactions.
Compensation: commission-based (to be discussed)
