Freelance Online Editorial Manager/Writer Join an exciting new tech startup!   We are a small but ambitious online tech startup focused on multicultural digital magazines. We’re looking for a dynamic and creative Freelance Online Editorial Manager/Writer to help manage, write, and curate original content for our platform, launching in February 2025. This is a unique opportunity to be part of something new, innovative, and exciting from the ground up!   Responsibilities: * Interview outreach: Initiate and follow up with interview candidates across the U.S. * Conduct interviews: Engage in interviews with selected subjects for platform features. * Content management: Handle the organization of photos, images, and other media for editorial profiles. * Content sourcing: Collaborate with writers, bloggers, and influencers to source unique content. * Recruit writers: Identify and reach out to potential writers for future content. * Editorial planning: Lead editorial meetings to brainstorm story ideas that resonate with our diverse audience. * Content publishing: Oversee the uploading and organization of editorial content on the platform.   Ideal Candidate: * Experienced writer: Proven writing experience with samples of past work. * Strong communicator: Excellent English-speaking skills for conducting interviews and collaborating with the team. * Energetic and positive: Fun, upbeat personality that fits into a creative, dynamic environment. * Tech-savvy: A reliable internet connection for video calls and interviews. * Organized and proactive: Strong follow-up and outreach skills to meet deadlines and manage tasks effectively. * Growth-focused: Eager for long-term opportunities and growth within the company.   Key Assignment: One of your first projects will be to recruit writers from various cultural backgrounds to contribute to our platform. We are seeking writers from Asian, Black, Latin, Middle Eastern North African, and South Asian U.S. communities to share authentic cultural experiences. You’ll use your research and networking skills to find these writers so they can suggest people in their culture for us to profile and do an article on.   Please note we already have a lot of original content and interviews completed, looking for someone to come in and help manage while we focus on other areas for a successful launch.   This is a freelance role with room for growth as we grow, and we’re excited to find someone who can help us launch and manage content leading up to our release date.   If this sounds like an exciting challenge, we’d love to hear from you!   [login to view URL]
