I need an Android app that can send live pedometer data to my webserver live and in the background. I've used Google Fit's API, but it's too slow (doesn't update fast enough). The app could send all steps recorded since the info was last sent (perhaps every 5 seconds) OR host an API that would accept GET requests for steps since the last request.
