Contest Brief

### In Summary
We’re looking for a **square (1:1) infographic-style visual**, featuring a **stylized world map** with **simple, single-color routes** from **Madagascar** to each of six international destinations. The **main title** (e.g., **“Canopy’s Pongamia 2024 Export Journey”**) should be prominent, accompanied by references to **Fagnako (Madagascar)** and **city icons** at the bottom. The overall design should blend **botanical elements** (Pongamia leaves/seeds) and a **professional infographic aesthetic**, ready for publication on all major social networks.

## 1. Objective
- Visually showcase, in an appealing and concise manner, the global reach of Pongamia exports from the Fagnako Project (Brickaville, Madagascar) to various international destinations.
- Publish on social media to emphasize Canopy’s global presence and achievements in 2024.

## 2. Format and Delivery
- **Primary Format**: A **square (1:1) image**, for instance 1080x1080 px, suitable for posting on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.
- **Final Deliverables**: Ideally provided in PNG/JPEG for web use and PDF/PSD/AI (source file) at high resolution.

## 3. Art Direction
- **Overall Theme**:
- Inspired by the previously shared “naive” concept you liked: a blend of **botanical illustration** (Pongamia leaves, seeds) with a **modern infographic** style (stylized world map).
- A natural, tropical feel (alluding to Madagascar), yet professional and contemporary.
- **Suggested Color Palette** (to be refined as needed):
- **Deep Green** (e.g., #2F4F4F) to evoke foliage.
- **Brown/Copper** (e.g., #A0522D or #C97A2A) reminiscent of Pongamia pods/seeds.
- **Light Green** or **Soft Turquoise** (e.g., #A9CFA5 / #5BA3A3) to provide contrast.
- **Beige** (e.g., #F5F5DC) or another neutral tone for backgrounds or markers.
- **Typography**:
- Title in a modern **sans-serif** (e.g., Montserrat, Open Sans).
- Subtitles / legends in a slightly thinner or secondary sans-serif.

## 4. Composition & Key Elements

1. **Stylized World Map**
- A simplified world map, with a clear highlight on **Madagascar**.
- Visual “routes” illustrating the export pathways from Fagnako (Brickaville, Madagascar) to:
- Singapore
- Tokyo (Japan)
- Melbourne (Australia)
- Jiangsu (China)
- Vaasa (Finland)
- Bordeaux (France)
- Use **a single style or color** for all routes (no distinction between seeds or oil).

2. **Graphic Elements / Illustrations**
- Incorporate Pongamia leaves and seeds as decorative accents, either in the background or around the edges.
- Curved lines or arcs from Madagascar to each destination, using a clear, contrasting color to stand out from the map.

3. **Main Title**
- Suggestion: **“Canopy’s Pongamia 2024 Export Journey”**

4. **Destination Markers**
- **Placed at the bottom** of the design (similar to the naïve concept), featuring:
- **Symbols / silhouettes / icons** representing each city (landmark icon, recognizable cityscape, etc.).
- City name and country below each icon.

5. **Subtitle / Tagline**
- Possibly below the main title or in a smaller font:
- *“From the Fagnako Project (Madagascar) to the world”*

6. **Branding / Credits**
- Include the name *CANOPY ENERGIES, 2024** discreetly placed in a corner or at the bottom.

## 5. Visual Hierarchy

1. **Title**
- Positioned at the top or in a central-upper area, ensuring legibility.
2. **Map & Routes**
- The focal element, occupying most of the square layout.
3. **City Icons**
- Aligned along the bottom, each with a corresponding label (city name + country).
4. **Botanical/Seed Decorations**
- Layered behind or framing the main content without overwhelming it.
5. **Subtitle / Tagline**
- Smaller and placed near the title or map for clarity.
6. **Additional Mentions**
- "CANOPY ENERGIES, 2024" in one of the bottom corners or edges.

## 6. Overall Style
- **Modern & Natural**
- Combine an **eco-friendly, botanical** look (leaves, seeds, earthy colors) with **professional, clean** infographic design.
- **Keep it simple**
- Avoid excessive details: a sleek map with key points and clear titles.
- **References**
- The “tropical leaves + soft color palette + minimal cartography” vibe we enjoyed in the naïve concept.

## 7. Additional Technical Considerations
- **Mobile Friendliness**
- Use sufficiently large font sizes and strong contrasts to ensure readability on phones.
- **Route Colors**
- Choose a distinct highlight color (e.g., turquoise or copper) to make the export lines pop against the map.
- **Optional Animation**
- If the designer also offers motion design, we might consider an animated version for social media (with routes drawing in, etc.). An additionnal $25 could be considered for this option.
