this is what i am presently doing in excel and i get result, but i need to do it in python as a project, let me explain you what all these and what is my target result. before that can you tell me if i can do it in python? i will explain about all the headers and its funciton after your reply.
i want to replicate and enhance current Excel process using Python! i want to be able to
Perform calculations on the data (like total material cost, making making cost, unit cost, etc.).
Automate repetitive tasks (e.g., updates based on inputs).
Analyze and visualize data effectively.
Generate dynamic reports.
We are carton factory producing packaging product of corrugated boxes. our product has 3 ply (top paper, inner corrugated paper and liner paper whichis on bottom) or 5 ply (top, corrugated paper, liner, corrucated paper, liner) each ply is paper of different GSM. we use different gsm, and each gsm has its on cost/kg. we need to calculate the weight of each gsm used in each layer of the product and find the cost of each layers so that we will get the total unit weight and the material cost. to get each layers weight we use this formula: R Size (reel Size) * C Size (Cutting Size)*used Gsm (125, 150, 140 or the like)devided by ups and multipled by Joints: now let me explain each headers: qutoe not this is the number we mention in the quotation we send to our customers, Date, Customer Code, Customer Name, Ply (how many ply 3 or 5 ), Item Description, Quoted Qty, R Size (Reel Size) C size (Cutting size), Ups, (Means if 2 ups the with the given Reel Size and Cutting size we get 2 products, if 3 up 3 products if 4 ups 4 product and so on) joints (Means if 2 joints we need two similar given sizes of paper to make one product) that is the reason we devide with ups and multiple with joints. s1 to s5 columns are for entering gsms used in each layers, for example if the product has 5 ply in s1 125, in s2 120, in s3 140, in s5 230, Total for the time being i advice you ignore from print ups to Plate charge and take total wt. so total weight is the weights calculated for each layers, you ignore total making cost for the time being and Total unit cost is the cost of each Gsm used. so that we get the material cost. when we make this then we can work on making cost. can you guid me throgh in python how can i do this? , we need to make 5 modules namely: 1. Sales initiation, 2.
