I'm seeking a skilled WordPress developer with experience in user interface design and a strong understanding of editorial systems. The project primarily involves improving the user interface of a complex WordPress-based editorial system. The ideal professional has many satisfied long term customers and complex Wordpress systems on his history. Improvements include: - General UI improvements - addition of a new role for section editors - XML plugin to export and deposit XML Jats files - ability to change authors order (maybe drag and drop) - automated PDF generation from WP post - "print" button to generate print version of manuscripts for reviewers - Potential future enhancements based on your insights and expertise The ideal freelancer for this project should have a strong background in WordPress development, UI design, and editorial systems. Excellent communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently and proactively suggest improvements. Freelancers wishing to know more about the project may register and submit a test article at [login to view URL] Please let me know if you wish to access as reviewer and/or editor to check the whole system. Freelancer will be hired for one improvement as test and may be hired long term afterwards for other improvements and monthly maintenance of website and system. If you are interested, please send us an approximate quote for all improvements listed above (number of hours you believe you need) and hourly fees for maintenance. Freelancers may not have access to the code at this point, we understand the estimate is an approximation under this condition.
