I am looking for a qualified food scientist or chemist with experience in the pet and animal food industry. Your primary role will be assisting with current and future projects and product formulas for various animal sectors, notably poultry, aquarium, and pond.
Key Responsibilities:
- Calculate ingredient ratios to meet set nutritional analyses.
- Conduct technical and composition evaluations based on final formulas, mainly focusing on nutritional analysis.
- Recommend safe preservatives and procedures for long-term product viability.
- Ensure formulas consider crucial factors such as solubility and shelf life.
- Provide a comprehensive process sheet detailing the start-to-finish of the production process in a work or PDF file.
- Perform molecular calculations for chemical formulas.
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and demands in the pet food industry.
- Develop new product lines in collaboration with the marketing and sales teams.
- Ensure all products comply with local and international regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with animal nutritionists to optimize formulas for specific health benefits.
Ideal Candidate:
- Extensive experience in the food industry, particularly within the animal and pet sector.
- Proficient in conducting nutritional analysis and deriving ingredient ratios.
- Familiar with safe preservatives and their application in pet food.
- Able to evaluate product formulas based on solubility, shelf life, and safety/compliance.
- Excellent at documenting processes clearly and comprehensively.
