Background SMS Retrieval & Custom drop down Navigation App

We are looking for a professional Android developer (Java) to work on an existing Starter App that requires enhancements and adjustments. The project focuses on creating a background service for SMS message retrieval and implementing a custom bottom navigation menu. Key Responsibilities: Develop a background service that retrieves SMS messages dynamically based on incoming messages from specific numbers. Ensure compatibility with Android 12+, especially regarding SMS permissions and background task restrictions. Implement a custom bottom navigation menu with smooth navigation transitions and design that fits with our app's UI. Ensure that the app works seamlessly in the background, adhering to Android 12+ foreground service and background execution limits. Test and ensure the app functions properly on Android 12+ devices. Requirements: Strong experience in Android development (Java). Proficiency with background services, SMS retrieval, and handling Android permissions. Experience with custom bottom navigation menus. Familiarity with Android 12+ restrictions and adapting apps for these newer versions. Ability to deliver the project within the set deadline. Payment: Payment will be made after the successful completion of the project. We are open to discussing the exact payment terms with the right candidate.
