Description:
I am looking for a certified engineer to assist with a project involving the design and construction of a stainless steel tank for 95 degree Celsius hot water. Sealed and insulated Below are the specifications and requirements:
Example of existing tank
1. Project Specifications:
- Type: Internal water tank (See attached Fig. A)
- Dimensions: 6000 mm (L) x 1500 mm (W) x 1700 mm (H)
- Contents: Hot water at 95°C =/- 0,1 degr, differences on all water levels.
- Estimated Weight: [Include the weight of the tank when filled with water]
- Insulation Requirement: Must maintain a temperature containment of +/- 0.1°C
- Material: Stainless Steel 304 (SS304)
- Cover Design: Two horizontal sliding semi-covers, each measuring 1500 mm. The central 1/4 covers will slide on top of the last two 1/4 covers.
- Actuation: Movement will be actuated by pneumatic cylinders.
- Water Circulation: Series of 3-inch threaded holes for water circulation located at the two lower ends.
- Safety Assurance: The entire structure must be designed with engineering calculations to ensure maximum construction safety, following [insert relevant design codes/standards].
- Temperature Control: Insulation must maintain maximum external surface temperatures of 25-28°C.
2. Project Deliverables:
- Comprehensive Engineering Design and Calculations
- Finite Element Method (FEM) Analysis
- Digital Analysis for Temperature Containment
- 3D Executive Drawings
- Detailed 3D models of the stainless steel tank, including internal and external features, insulation design details, and the two horizontal sliding semi-covers.
- 2D Executive Drawings
- Front, side, and top views of the tank.
- Detail drawings for the sliding cover mechanism.
- Cross-sectional views showing insulation placement and material specifications.
- Necessary construction details that will aid in the fabrication process.
- Constructive Specifications
- Materials to be used (specifically SS304), thickness of the tank walls and insulation, welding and assembly instructions, and safety factors considered in the design.
3. Additional Information:
27. Pressure Rating: The tank should handle internal pressures up to [specify pressure in bar/psi].
If there are any assumptions made during the design process or if further information is needed to complete these drawings, please let me know, and I will provide the necessary details promptly.
- Project must be signed off by a certified engineer with national habilitation.
4. Timeline:
Project completion is required within 12 to 18 days.
Propose the milestones.
