Role Overview:
We are looking for an Advanced Web Scraping Specialist with extensive Scrapy experience and exceptional Python skills to join our team. This role involves developing and integrating custom web scrapers into our sophisticated scraping automation system. You will handle challenges like bypassing complex web protections, managing proxy rotations, and working within a multi-layered software architecture.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and optimize custom Scrapy-based web scrapers for various car marketplace websites.
Ensure smooth integration of new scrapers into our existing automation structure.
Handle complex web scraping scenarios, including dynamic content and API interaction.
Standardize and clean scraped data to align with our platform’s requirements.
Maintain and improve proxy rotation systems for seamless data collection.
Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot and refine existing scripts.
Work on initial tasks, including modifying/creating scrapers for three specific websites.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Extensive experience in Python programming with a deep understanding of Scrapy.
Proven track record in developing advanced custom scrapers for complex web structures.
Strong understanding of web scraping methods, classes, and data pipelines.
Expertise in proxy management and bypassing anti-scraping mechanisms.
Ability to work with APIs and integrate them into the scraping workflow.
Experience in large-scale, multi-layered scraping systems.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of machine learning or deep learning for data cleaning and preprocessing (not required but beneficial).
Work Structure and Terms:
Long-term cooperation is the goal, with opportunities to grow within the team.
