Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated GIS Analyst with a strong background in geospatial data analysis and a passion for drone technology. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing and analyzing drone-captured data to create accurate and detailed maps and models for various applications. We are initially looking to hire on a project-based basis, with the possibility of a full-time position in the future. Responsibilities: Data Processing: Process drone-captured imagery and point clouds using industry-standard software (e.g., Pix4D, Agisoft, DroneDeploy or similar) Perform tasks such as georeferencing, radiometric calibration, and image stitching Create orthophotos, digital surface models (DSMs), and digital terrain models (DTMs) Generate point clouds and 3D models Data Analysis: Extract and analyze geospatial features from drone data (e.g., buildings, roads, vegetation) Utilize GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) to create thematic maps and visualizations Conduct spatial analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in the data Project Support: Collaborate with project teams to understand their specific requirements and provide tailored GIS solutions Assist in the planning and execution of drone flight missions Ensure data quality and accuracy throughout the project lifecycle
