Hello! I am Bimurtya Ganguli. Nice to meet you. I am a documentary photographer. Documentary photography is a bit different than other photography genre. It deals with social, cultural and environmental issues that the world is facing now. Documentary photography is grounded in reality, candid, human based approach. I normally collaborate with other photographers, NGOs and magazines to aware people and help them regarding a certain issue.
I am looking for an informative website for my personal projects. I want a website for my personal portfolio purposes, which will be used both for business purposes and for job applications (presented to editors, curators, gallerists, exhibitionists, clients).
The website will have 6 tabs in total under the 'Menu'.
The first tab will be "home/portfolio" where I can upload high resolution photographs (around 15-20 pics). All the photographs after they are uploaded, should retain their original high quality and their original aspect ratio.
The second tab is where I can write and upload written blog posts (texts) along with pictures. The blog posts will be of 1000 to 1500 words maximum. I want the facility where viewers can engage with my blog articles through comments and replies. Under this tab, I want different blog articles to be present in tiles format, for the viewers to choose, click on and read the article.
The third tab will be where I can group several personal or commercial projects, each having a bold title to distinguish from one another. Clicking on a project will open it up showing the several pictures and a small amount of writing (mainly captions).
The fourth tab is where I can advertise and sell photo prints and books (magazines, softcover, hardcover) with a payment gateway. The payment options for the viewers/customers will be UPI or card.
The fifth tab will be 'About me', where I will write about myself, my skills and aspirations.
The last / sixth tab will be 'Contact', where I will put my number, email, etc.
Overall, I want my website to have a minimalistic, clean, and an easy to navigate approach with a dark neutral colour pallet, having a combination of not more than 3 shades.
However, I don't want my website to be too static or boring. There has to be a bit of dynamicity to give it a bit of a trendy feel, at the same time not compromising the seriousness/professionalism of the website.
