I just wasn't a fan of the whole over-the-top fantastical elements of them. I prefer stories that are more subtle, more grounded in reality, where you can see character development grow, change with twists as events in the story affect them. I think such stories connect with the audience better. Where they can imagine being that person, or relate to events in their own lives or people they know. So that's my remit.
