The selected FPGA is iCE40HX1K (or iCE40HX8K) so you must have access to their development platform (iCEcube2) [you can request free access through them]. The goal is to use a standard high-speed 8-bit ADC/DAC for encoding/decoding, but we could also potentially use ADV7280/ADV7391 instead. We currently have a setup that retransmit the video signal through the FPGA with the regular ADC/DAC, but it has a lot of static in the output video. Solving this issue would be the first step or deciding if we need to switch to ADV7280/ADV7391 right away.
