The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing and implementing robust web scraping systems, able to extract and process large volumes of data efficiently and accurately. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop and implement web scraping scripts and bots to extract data from various websites. - Clean and preprocess raw data to transform it into the required format. - Employ advanced data extraction techniques to deal with websites that are hard to scrape. - Work on data storage solutions to efficiently store the large volumes of extracted data. - Ensure scraping scripts are running smoothly and handle any issues or bugs that arise. - Implement data validation and error handling mechanisms to ensure the accuracy and completeness of scraped data. - Adhere to ethical data scraping and privacy guidelines. Qualifications: - Previous experience in a similar role with demonstrated proficiency in web scraping. - Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Javascript, or similar. - Familiarity with web scraping frameworks like Scrapy, Beautiful Soup, Selenium, or similar. - Understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to effectively navigate website structures. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Knowledge of data preprocessing techniques and databases. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. Salary & Deliverable: - We will pay on a weekly basis based on the # of websites or the effort you spend fo the tasks. Mainly we prefer to pay $50 for each website. - Deliverable should be dataset (csv, excel or json format) and codes. Codes should be pushed to github.
