About the Role:
The Society for Collegiate Leadership & Achievement (SCLA) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Intern Performance Manager to oversee and directly manage a group of campus-based Chapter Presidents serving as interns. These interns are tasked with creating impactful leadership experiences on their campuses while building and managing local SCLA chapters.
As the Intern Performance Manager, your primary responsibility will be to provide guidance, mentorship, and accountability to ensure interns successfully achieve their goals and meet performance expectations.
This is a remote contractor position with flexible hours and up to 35 hours per week. For the right candidate, there may be opportunities for full-time employment, performance bonuses, and even phantom stock options in the future.
Key Responsibilities:
Intern Oversight & Goal Achievement:
- Manage a group of Chapter Presidents (interns) across multiple college campuses.
- Ensure interns meet key milestones related to chapter growth, event planning, and membership engagement.
- Provide weekly check-ins to track progress and support interns in overcoming challenges.
Mentorship & Guidance:
- Offer personalized mentorship and coaching to interns.
- Assist interns in developing leadership, time management, and organizational skills.
Performance Management:
- Monitor and evaluate intern performance against defined objectives.
- Provide constructive feedback and strategies for improvement.
- Hold interns accountable for meeting their deliverables.
Operational Support:
- Ensure interns complete administrative tasks such as chapter registration and event reporting.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the interns and SCLA leadership.
Communication & Reporting:
- Maintain open and transparent communication with both interns and SCLA leadership.
- Provide regular reports on intern progress, challenges, and successes.
Qualifications:
Experience managing or mentoring interns, volunteers, or remote teams.
Strong leadership and accountability coaching skills.
Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
Ability to work independently while collaborating with a national team.
Familiarity with student organizations or leadership development programs is a plus.

Contract Type: Independent Contractor
Hours: Flexible, up to 35 hours per week
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience
