Key Responsibilities:
Format and remediate PDF documents to meet WCAG 2.1 standards.
Ensure accessibility compliance for Microsoft documents (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and export them correctly to accessible PDFs.
Use Adobe Acrobat and accessibility tools to add tags, alt text, and fix reading order.
Conduct accessibility checks and resolve issues flagged by tools like Adobe Accessibility Checker and Microsoft Accessibility Checker.
Key Requirements:
Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Acrobat Pro, and Microsoft Office tools.
Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.1 standards and document accessibility principles.
Familiarity with assistive technologies such as screen readers (e.g., JAWS, NVDA).
Proven experience in document accessibility remediation.
Detail-oriented with the ability to deliver compliant, user-friendly documents.
Bonus Skills:
Experience with HTML accessibility for web-related projects.
Knowledge of PDF/UA standards.
Previous projects demonstrating accessibility compliance.
