Pi-hole is a free, open-source DNS sinkhole that functions at a router level, allowing the user to block/allow content they don’t want for all devices connected to their router.

Adding etag support to pi-hole would help save bandwidth by avoiding unnecessary downloads, and is largely implemented within these pull requests:[login to view URL]://[login to view URL]

However, there are a few small issues that need to be solved before the pull request can be merged into the pi-hole development branch, namely:

- Store etags in the [login to view URL] file instead of dedicated files

- Debug option to tell user that the etag has been stored and confirmed a match by the server

- Minor merge conflicts
