I am looking for an experienced JavaScript/jQuery developer to fix an issue with the touch behavior on a mobile image carousel on my website.
Problem Description:
The mobile image carousel allows users to swipe left and right to navigate images and supports pinch-zoom for zooming in on images.
However, when a user attempts to scroll vertically on the page by touching the carousel area, the vertical scroll does not work as expected.
It seems that the current touch event handling (e.g., touchstart, touchmove, touchend) is interfering with the browser's native vertical scrolling behavior.

The code in question is located at the bottom of [login to view URL], enclosed between //MOBILE CAROUSEL STARTS and //MOBILE CAROUSEL ENDS. Additionally, some mobile-specific CSS has been added in the <head> section of the HTML file to support the carousel's touch interactions.
What I Need:
Fix the JavaScript/jQuery code to allow vertical scrolling when the user is not performing a swipe or pinch-zoom gesture.
Ensure that swipe navigation (left/right) and pinch-zoom (in/out) still work without blocking vertical page scrolling.
Test and verify the fix across common mobile browsers (Chrome, Safari) and devices (Android, iOS).
