I'm on the lookout for a talented individual or team with expertise in corporate identity and digital branding. My aim is simple: to cement my brand's presence in the minds of our users, specifically focusing on a men's community for personal development, inspiration, experience, and friendship.
The offer is intended to meet men aged between 25 and 55 where they are today (some are struggling, some are looking for variety, meaning in life, more joy in life. Some have more questions than answers, some have no real best friend, etc.), which is why the communication must be prepared in a gender-appropriate way, addressing the needs and wishes of modern men in 2024. From our point of view, gender equality cannot be achieved if we focus exclusively on female empowerment (which is absolutely right, necessary, and important!!). We must also create attractive and target group-oriented offers for the development of men - without falling into old patterns and certainly not in order to force further separation. However, if you look at the statistics, men tend to be the "weaker gender", with significantly higher rates of addiction and suicide, significantly fewer coping strategies than women, fewer genuine, deep friendships, etc. This is what we wanna change.
Here's what I need:
In a nutshell:
- A fresh but timeless, memorable corporate identity that resonates with men in the age of 25-55 and works for different formats (e.g. a community (connected via an app, events, academy, coaching & mentoring, merchandising shop, etc.)
- Sophisticated branding that will shine on digital platforms, from our website to social media
- A creative and compelling brand language that speaks directly to our audience.
Note: All texts, name, logo and ideas that are already there will be provided, as well as a detailed briefing with me.
More details:
1. Definition of Why, What & How:
+ Develop catchy and memorable formulations for the Why, What & How that resonate with the target audience and focus on potentials (formulations must be sensitive enough to communicate the core of the community without evoking negative associations with former men's clubs, big boys brotherhoods, old white men clubs, etc.)
+ Craft themes that appear well-thought-out and substantial from the beginning (the community should not appear as a small idea but should appear well thought out, smart and "bigger" from the start)
+ Describe the "Story behind" and clearly articulate the direction, vision, mission and goals (first ideas are there and can be used as a basis)
+ The start of the community will be Germany, so please provide minimum 3 to 5 detailed personas for men in the target group for Germany.
2. Corporate Identity:
+ Create & Design the visual identity and assets that communicate the community's values (develop color palettes, design elements, and typography guidelines inkl. typo suggestions for clearity and modernity)
+ Please create minimum 3 - 5 mood boards for the brand. The mood boards should visualize different facets of the brand and reflect its identity. Each mood board should have a different focus and capture the essence of the brand and community. Please make sure that the mood boards are appealing and inspiring.
+ Develop visual guidelines for application on the website and social media (Instagram, FB, TikTok, LinkedIn)
+ Create clear guidelines for the imagery to evoke the desired atmosphere.
+ Define the brand values - clear, memorable, and actionable - that will resonate with what modern men are looking for
+ Brand Story: Development of a compelling brand narrative for effective communication
+ Establish a Corporate Tagline that establishes an emotional connection to the brand.
+ Define the Brand Language for consistent communication across all channels (define the tone for communication in texts and graphics)
+ Formulate 3-5 Brand Key Statements/Narratives that succinctly represent the identity of the Men's community.
4. Social Media:
+ Create a consistent design for the following social media platforms: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn
+ Design minimum 2 customizable templates and guidelines for each of the following social media platforms: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn (incl. copy & paste templates, and minimum 5 fotos for each of the platforms)
+ Ensure that the templates reflect the established foundations for colors, imagery, and branding.
5. Website Landingpage:
+ Create a pre-registration landingpage, following the defined design guide, where men can register with their e-mail address before we open our doors (incl. inspiring text and visuals/fotos for approaching them, a description what they can expect; all for copy & paste)
6. E-Mail Template
+ Create an inspiring E-Mail Template for a monthly newsletter (following the defined design guide)
7. Pitch deck
+ Create an attractive pitch deck in editable powerpoint format for potential partners, supporters, and investors, where you describe the why, current challenges for men, our solution, potential, USP, potential competitors
Ideal Skills of the Freelancer:
+ Experience in branding for community projects, preferably in the men's segment.
+ Strong understanding of the men's lifestyle and personal development sector.
+ Ability to empathize with the target audience and establish an authentic connection.
+ Creativity and the ability to translate depth and emotion into visual concepts.
+ Knowledge in developing corporate identity and visual guidelines.
+ Proven experience in brand creation and digital storytelling.
+ Mastery of design software (Adobe Creative Suite, etc).
+ Strategic thinking with a portfolio that highlights branding successes.
+ Time flexibility and effective communication during the project.
+ German Language is a plus as texts will be needed in German (but I'm open for really good english texts as well;-)
