Your manager, Stephen Choo, has appointed you to assist the architect and the structural engineer in completing the draft of the building. Your manager has sent you the following email regarding this project.

As you are aware, Astra Engineering has been contracted by the Department of Cultural Affairs and Heritage (DCAH) to create a 3-storey state-of-the-art library. The architect and the structural engineers assigned to this are working under immense pressure for another project, which requires all their attention.
This email is to inform you that you have been appointed to assist the architectural and structural engineer in completing the draft of the building. I have attached to this email the draft sketches of the building, the structural plan, and measurements and specifications of the elements of the building.
As a Junior Civil Engineering drafter for this project, you must develop architectural, structural and isometric drawings using AutoCAD software. Make sure that all the requirements are fulfilled as listed in the attachments.
As this is an important project, once you have completed the drawings, please let me know so that I can schedule a meeting where you can present the drawings to me.

Task description:
To develop Architectural Drawing, you must provide:
• Individual floor plan with dimensions and door and window openings.
• Drawing of the building in 3rd angle orthographic projection.
• Auxiliary drawing for the ramp.
• Isometric view of the building from the top left corner.
• One Cross-section to show elevations of the building.
To develop a Structural drawing, you must provide the following:
• Footing layout and reinforcement details.
• Footing section drawing.
• Column layout and reinforcement details.
• Column reinforcement detail drawing.
• Beam layout at individual floors.
• Beam reinforcement detail for beams along Grid Y3.
• Slab reinforcement layout plan for the 3rd floor
• Slab reinforcement detail for 3rd floor
Task 2: Present and obtain the approval from the required personnel (Roleplay)
Note: This activity is in continuation of the previous activity
Task description:
Once you have completed task 1, you must gather all the documentation from task 1 and deliver a brief presentation covering all the relevant information and results to your Manager – Stephen choo. (Your trainer will inform you of the date of your presentation and will play the role of your manager)
In the presentation, you will have to present the following three drawings to your manager (Trainer-Assessor):
• Structural Drawing
• Architectural Drawing
• Isometric Drawing
You will be observed by your manager while you are presenting, and you will also be required to answer any questions related to the drawings.
After the presentation, write an email to your manager - Stephen Choo, informing him that you have completed the task. Your email must be written professionally and include the CAD drawings as attachments. (use the email template provided in the assessment files section below)
