Job Description: We are looking for a skilled mixing engineer to mix an instrumental directly within our Studio One session (.song file). You can adjust the template and workflow as needed, but the mix must remain in our original session for seamless integration. The selected engineer must use FabFilter, Waves, and Valhalla plugins and be experienced in Afro Swing, R&B, and Dancehall. Requirements: ✅ Must use Studio One 7 ✅ Must have FabFilter, Waves, and Valhalla plugins (e.g., FabFilter Pro-Q4, Waves CLA-76, Valhalla VintageVerb) ✅ Can adjust the mix template but must work within our provided session (.song file). ✅ Strong ear for rhythmic balance, harmonic clarity, and spatial depth. ✅ Understands groove retention while improving mix clarity and punch. ✅ Fast turnaround preferred (1-3 days for first draft). Responsibilities: ? Work within our Studio One session (.song file). ? Use FabFilter, Waves, and Valhalla plugins to shape the mix. ? Enhance clarity, depth, and dynamics while preserving the original groove. ? Optimize vocal/instrumental balance and ensure a polished final sound. ? At least one round of revisions if needed. Hi, Your requirements are very specific and it can be very difficult to hire the person that tick mark all your points but all the best if you find one. Hello. I'm a professional studio * audio engineer. I work in studio one pro since 2014. Currently upgraded to V7. 1. I start with drums 2. I listen throughout the song, individual instruments, make a quick volume balance, and only then make a decision if a track needs any correction (Eq, compression ect... ) 3. P.M me about. 4. I customize the mix appearance based on a template I used to work with... Doesn't affect the sound just yet ;) 5. Based on clients request... Usually in 2-4,5 days... Depends on many factors...

Hey! I can help you mix your track. --- My mixing process starts with EQing to clean up the lows and highs (cutting around 25/40Hz to 20kHz). Next, I use a second Pro-Q for critical listening and removing any resonating frequencies. If needed, I apply multiband compression with Pro-MB to balance the lows, mids, and highs. Then, I use the Pro-C compressor for overall dynamic control, followed by a touch of Fresh Air for subtle enhancement. I add stereo width—slightly for frequencies above 150-200Hz and more for those above 5kHz. Finally, I apply a last EQ pass to eliminate any remaining peaks and enhance presence if necessary. turnaround time for a mix is usually 2-3 days. contact me if you still have doubts.
