As a transport officer in Chapal Technical Company Limited, Port Harcourt, Nigeria, I managed well over 80 project and operational vehicles.
During the said time I have had quite extensive knowledge of the engine details (sump, crankshaft, cylinder head, camshaft mechanism and the engine cover, etc). Furthermore, as a Lead Mechanical Engineer/Specialist, Rotating & Static Equipment, the details of vehicular engines and transmission systems are part as parcel of my core Discipline areas.
Again, as Site Lead during various oil and gas projects, I had, on more than eight (8) occasions, equally managed a fleet of vehicles/equipment – mobile cranes, excavators, trucks, pick-ups and cars for various operations.
Thus, I can confidently assure that I am the best fit for this project.
In executing this project the following shall be in focus:
1. Liaison/collaboration with Client team/staff to confirm the total number and category of vehicles in the Client’s fleet.
2. Generate a spreadsheet showing the numbers and categories of each brand/type/make as may be applicable.
3. Liaise/collaborate with Client’s team/staff to assess the state of the respective engines and transmission systems, as well as other components incidental to good and safe use of each vehicle. Thereafter confirm the current run-hours and existing maintenance schedule, if any.
4. Develop a comprehensive maintenance and repair schedule for each category within the Client’s fleet. Etc.
