Temporary French-Speaking On-Site DBA Required: MS-SQL & Oracle

I'm in need of a temporary, French-speaking Database Administrator (DBA) for a 3-month period, with a possibility of extension. The ideal candidate should be proficient in both MS-SQL and Oracle, as these are the specific databases that will need to be managed. Key Tasks: - Database Administration: The primary focus of this role will be general database administration tasks. This includes monitoring the performance of the databases, making necessary adjustments, and ensuring their overall health and efficiency. - On-Site Requirement: This role will be based on-site. Therefore, the candidate should either be a local or willing to relocate for the duration of the project. - Database Proficiency: A deep understanding and hands-on experience with both MS-SQL and Oracle is essential. - Performance Tuning: Analyze and optimize database performance by configuring indexes, queries, and storage. - Backup Management: Regularly perform and verify backups to ensure data recovery options are available in the event of failures. - Security Implementation: Enforce database security processes, manage user access, and ensure compliance with data protection regulations. - Database Upgrades: Plan and execute database upgrades and patch management to keep systems up-to-date. - Data Migration: Conduct necessary data migrations between different database systems safely and efficiently. - Replication Management: Set up and maintain database replication to ensure data availability and redundancy. Skills and Experience: - Fluent in French, both written and spoken. - Proven experience as a DBA, particularly with MS-SQL and Oracle. - Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure. - Strong communication skills, capable of working within a team.
