MS Azure Drupal 8 sandbox VM

Requirements: My project involves setting up a personal development environment in MS Azure using Drupal 8, with specific requirements, tools and versions. Using your MS Azure environment, here are the steps needed: 1. Create an Ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS VM in Microsoft Azure. When documenting this step please explain exactly how to do this in Microsoft Azure to a "junior IT worker" who has his own Azure account. Everything will be installed directly on this single VM. Docker should not be used. 2. Install Microsoft SQL 2022 Developer Edition. Must be Microsoft SQL, but also must be "free". The avoidance of paying licensing fees is key for this. Explain exactly how to do this in Microsoft Azure to a "junior IT worker". 3. Install Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio on Windows Client PC, or alternate solution on an Ubuntu machine. Simply need to be able to see the database and validate we have access to it. Also, this ensure the need ports are open in MS Azure to allow this access. 4. Install Nginx version 1.20.2 . Must be this exact version. 5. Install PHP version 7.4.33 . Must be this exact version. 6. Configure Drupal driver for Microsoft SQL per [login to view URL] . Explain all the steps needed step-by-step. 7. Install Drupal version 8.9.19 (this exact version) and validate that you can use Drupal as a CMS to create a single Drupal test page that merely says the words "Hello World, I am Drupal running on an MS SQL database!" Note: You'll set everything up on your MS Azure account and create the Markdown guide, and I'll follow your steps per the Markdown guide on my MS Azure account. Thus, no MS Azure account sharing needed. Deliverables: The two deliverables for this project are: 1. A step-by-step Markdown document with numerous supporting screen captures: After you test and validate the above including the Drupal "hello world test" in step #7 above. Deliver a step-by-step, clearly written Markdown *.md document that documents each and every step needed to configure the above from a Windows 10/11 PC or an Ubuntu Linux PC (but not both - pick one, your choice), along with professional looking supporting screen captures. Audience for Markdown document: The audience for this document is a human junior, relatively unskilled IT worker fluent in English and using Windows 10/11 (or if you prefer Ubuntu Linux, but do not expect the IT worker to know both Linux and Windows. Pick one of these two.) and knows how to "copy and paste" commands into command line terminals (Linux or Windows 10/11 but no Mac). The instructions can assume the "junior IT worker" has either a Windows 10/11 PC or an Ubuntu Linux PC, but not both. I don’t care which one. Either Ubuntu Linux or Windows 10/11 is fine with me. The instructions may NOT assume the end user has an Apple Mac computer, as Macs do not exist on projects. The junior IT human worker is able to not only copy and paste commands into command line terminals, but observe results, and follow the instructions in the Markdown document you provide carefully, precisely and step-by-step. The junior human worker is fluent in English. 2. If needed, support me as I test #1 above. I am a senior DevOps engineer. I will personally test and validate your document using MY Microsoft Azure account. Hopefully, I will encounter no questions when using the document, but If I do, please support me until I get to step # 7: use Drupal as a CMS to create a Drupal page that says the words "Hello World, I am Drupal running on an MS SQL database!". After step #2 is successful, the project is 100% complete. All documentation is to be closed-source and confidential. I am to retain full rights to all documentation created. This project is confidential and should never be posted on public repos etc. The entire project needs to complete in less than 1 one week (7 calendar days) from the point you are hired to do this work.
