Integrate Custom Backend Authentication and Registration with Shopify Store

Project Description: We are looking for a skilled developer to integrate our custom backend authentication and registration system with our Shopify store. The integration involves handling user registration, OTP-based login, and managing user sessions with a custom accessToken generated by our backend. The solution must seamlessly integrate with Shopify’s frontend and Liquid templates, ensuring a smooth user experience for registration, login, and access to protected pages. Scope of Work: Backend API Integration: Integrate the following backend authentication flows into Shopify: Login: Accepts a mobile number, sends an OTP, and handles verification. OTP Verification: Verifies the OTP and returns a custom token (accessToken) for session management. Registration: Registers new users with required details such as name, email, and phone number. Frontend Implementation: Login Form: Create a mobile number input field and an OTP submission form. Implement logic to send and verify OTPs. Registration Form: Create a registration form for new users with fields such as name, email, and phone number. Integrate the registration process into the Shopify storefront. Session Management: Store the custom accessToken securely in localStorage. Validate the token before allowing access to protected pages. Redirection Logic: Redirect unauthenticated users to the login page with a return_url parameter for redirection after login. Protected Pages: Implement session validation logic for protected pages like the account profile. Redirect unauthenticated or logged-out users to the login page. Logout Functionality: Clear the session by removing the token from storage and redirect users to the login page. Custom Token Usage: Ensure the custom accessToken is utilized effectively for session validation and user authentication on the frontend. Liquid Template Integration: Modify Shopify Liquid templates to include: Login and registration forms. Session validation logic for protected pages. Logout functionality. Security: Ensure secure storage and usage of the custom accessToken. Prevent unauthorized access to protected pages and sensitive user data. Deliverables: A fully integrated OTP-based login system in Shopify. A functioning registration system for new users. Secure session management using the custom accessToken. Seamless navigation and redirection for authenticated and unauthenticated users. Integration of the solution into Shopify Liquid templates. Requirements: Strong experience with Shopify Liquid templates and frontend customization. Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. Expertise in integrating custom backend APIs with Shopify. Understanding of session management and secure token storage. Ability to test and deploy solutions in a live Shopify environment. Additional Information: Detailed API documentation will be shared after the project is awarded. Protected pages and login/logout flows will rely on the custom accessToken for authentication. Note: We already have the frontend Liquid files and backend ready. We need help integrating our backend APIs with the frontend.
