Need a working example of a parent/child single page form in DataTables editor

I used DataTables editor to do most administration. There are several situations where I use different forms for parent and child tables. The simplest that comes to mind is articles and article categories. You click on the article categories form. Currently in table view if I want to get to articles in a particular category I have to click on a link in a row, something link [login to view URL] and that take me to an articles page listing only articles associated with that category ID (or category name). This works but is too much hopping around. In DTE you are supposed to be able to create a single form in which you load the form and it first displays only the list of categories, then you click on a category row and on the same page (underneath this table) it loads a second table displaying articles associate with the selected category. That is the goal.
