With extensive experience in curriculum development, after-school programs, nannying, and teaching children aged 5-14, I have a deep passion for child development. My time at Casa de Milagros, a home for orphaned children in Peru, where I volunteered for six months and returned frequently, involved engaging with children through play, educational support, and fostering self-esteem. Additionally, I have worked with numerous families as a caregiver and nanny, and taught at both public and charter schools, designing curricula and activities to promote learning and development. I love working with choruses and have a unique approach. I treats children with the same respect as any adult.
I want to be a resource, to help them understand how they feel, how to use their own voice, think critically, and put their creative thoughts into action. I try to place value on equality and respect creating a community and the feeling that we all belong. I make learning fun by getting students to contribute to the process with their personal interest and by providing genuine people to people learning experiences. I believe an efficient learning environment comes from making experiences relevant and meaningful
