Active Directory Setup on Oracle Cloud for Pallas Infotech

Project Overview: Pallas Infotech seeks a skilled Network Engineer for a small, short-term project. The project involves setting up a Windows Server 2022 environment on Oracle Cloud, including domain controller configuration, backup domain controller setup, and establishing a bastion host. Key Responsibilities: • Install and configure Windows Server 2022 on Oracle Cloud infrastructure. • Set up and configure a Primary Domain Controller (PDC). • Install and configure a Backup Domain Controller (BDC) for redundancy and high availability. • Configure a Bastion Host for secure remote access to the cloud environment. • Install a plain Windows server and join it to the domain. • Install and configure Remote Desktop Services (RDS) CALs on the Domain Controller. • Produce detailed documentation of the installation, configuration, and setup procedures for future reference and troubleshooting. Requirements: • Proven experience with Windows Server 2022 installation and configuration. • Proficient in setting up Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS). • Experience configuring Backup Domain Controllers for fault tolerance. • Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), with a preference for candidates with 3+ years of OCI experience (custom images, VCNs etc.) • Knowledge of Bastion Host setup for secure access. • Experience installing and configuring Remote Desktop CALs. • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. • Ability to produce clear and detailed documentation. • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with the team. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with network security best practices. • Strong documentation skills. • Experience with Oracle Cloud networking and security configurations.
