My winery app, built on Flutter with a PHP backend, requires urgent bug fixes and optimizations. The app is hosted on BlueHost.
Key Issues:
- Timezone discrepancy: The most critical issue is the timezone difference. When the app sends data to the backend, it needs to be adjusted to the user's device timezone. For instance, when our client in the USA downloads the app, it should reflect his local time and date.
- Analytics cleanup: The analytics data contains numerous entries with blank names. These need to be removed as they do not provide any useful information. Only complete entries should be included in the analytics after filtering out these blank entries.
- Wine name display issue: Our wine name headings are displaying incorrectly with "amp;" in the text. For example, "Lu & Olly" is appearing as "Lu &olly" on the app. This needs to be fixed.
Final Tasks:
- Upload the corrected app for TestFlight so the client can confirm that the changes are working.
I have access to both the backend and app source code. The analytics are downloaded via the CMS on the backend in an XLS format for admin to view specific winery shop details. This is an IPAD only app. In the analytics xls you will also see even more context of the clients reference to the above explanation
