Communication options between app and device: Cons: inconvenient for the end user 1. Direct Bluetooth. User connects to the device via Bluetooth directly Pros: easier connection, no dependencies from WiFi and internet Cons: closer range, only one user can be connected to a device OR (optionally) 2. Cloud-based solution. Usually it works like this: on the initial paring, device enables AP, app connects to it and sends home WiFi credentials, the device connects to the internet via those credentials and all further communication between app and device does through backend APIs.
