We are working with a client on a concept that requires the expertise of an AR, VR, or mixed reality developer. We are seeking a skilled AR/VR/MR developer to create an immersive experience that effectively simulates height phobia. The project involves conceptualizing and developing a virtual environment to help users confront and manage their fear of heights. The ideal candidate should have experience in creating engaging and interactive visual content, with a focus on user experience and psychological impact. The idea is to develop a 3D visualization where a person ascends to the 99th floor via an elevator. From there, they proceed to the 100th floor using a staircase.
As the visitor climb the staircase, he/she wears and views the external surroundings with tinted glasses. The staircase is equipped with arm support. This allows them to view the exterior while climbing the stairs. The exterior view offers two distinct scenes. One is a scenic view of the distance, providing a serene experience. The other scene, viewed directly below, induces a sense of fear due to the height.
As the person experiences these emotions, side images should display various effects of this fear, such as nausea, vomiting, fear, and sweating. These reactions enhance the immersive experience.
We are not sure how to implement these latter aspects of the person's reactions to the stimuli. However, it is crucial that the environment is set up correctly, and the external surroundings are depicted accurately.
