About Us:
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Oracle PL/SQL Developer to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. In this role, you will work primarily with Oracle 19c, focusing on developing and supporting both Online Transaction Processing (OLTP) and Batch Processing systems. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Oracle database technologies, including PL/SQL and SQL, and be able to work independently while collaborating remotely with our development team.
Job Description:
As an Oracle PL/SQL Developer, you will be involved in designing, developing, and maintaining critical OLTP systems as well as large-scale batch processing jobs. You will work on optimizing database performance, troubleshooting, and ensuring seamless execution of both transactional and batch processes. Your role will also include learning the specific domain of our application, with a mandatory training period to ensure you're aligned with our systems and processes.
Training Period and Domain Knowledge Knowledge Transfer: As part of the role, the selected candidate must undergo a training period of 2-3 weeks to familiarize themselves with the application domain. This training period will be compensated at a discounted rate, with the full payment for this period made after 3 months of proven work on the system. This is to ensure the training is taken seriously with a commitment to producing results.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and Support OLTP Systems: Build and optimize PL/SQL code and SQL queries for online transaction systems to ensure high availability and performance.
Batch Processing Development: Design, implement, and maintain efficient batch processing systems for large data volumes, ensuring that jobs run on schedule and process data effectively.
Performance Tuning: Monitor, analyze, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and batch processes for better performance and scalability.
Collaborative Development: Work with other developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to define requirements and develop robust technical solutions.
Code Maintenance: Troubleshoot and resolve issues in the database and application codebase, providing continuous support for mission-critical systems.
Database Documentation: Document all developed procedures, functions, triggers, and batch job processes.
Application Domain Knowledge: Undergo a mandatory training period (2-3 weeks) to understand the specific application domain, tools, and processes. During this training period, you will work at a discounted fee, which will be paid after 3 months of successful, proven work on the system.
Work with Existing Systems: Ensure seamless integration of new modules and functionality into existing OLTP and batch systems.
Team Collaboration: Regularly communicate with the team to review project progress, provide feedback, and collaborate on system improvements.
Key Requirements:
Deep Experience in OLTP & Batch Processing: Extensive experience in both Online Transaction Processing (OLTP) systems and Batch Processing in an Oracle environment.
Expert PL/SQL and SQL Skills: Strong experience with writing and optimizing PL/SQL code, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and complex SQL queries.
Oracle 19c: Solid understanding of Oracle 19c features, architecture, and best practices.
Performance Tuning: Strong background in performance tuning of Oracle databases and batch processes.
Database Administration: Hands-on experience with Oracle tools like SQL*Plus, SQL Developer, and Oracle Data Guard, as well as RMAN for backup and recovery.
Problem-Solving and Debugging: Ability to independently troubleshoot issues related to databases, OLTP systems, and batch processes.
Remote Work: Must be able to work from home on a full-time basis and manage your time effectively.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with team members and stakeholders in different time zones.

Full-Time Commitment: This is a full-time, remote, freelance position. Applicants must be available to dedicate their full working hours to the project.
Remote Work: Applicants must be comfortable working remotely and managing tasks independently. The role requires self-motivation and clear communication skills.
Timezone Flexibility: The position requires the ability to collaborate with teams in various time zones, and occasional flexibility may be needed.
