5282 AutomaticReplyPlus Problem

I am using AutomaticReplyPlus Autoresponder and am having the following problem. I am using the (CUSTOM_tag} variable to collect addition nformation on my signup form. I am placing the tag in the email that needs to be sent but the tag isn't being populated. Iknow this is a simple thing staring me in the face but 6 hours later I have given up. Dont ask for more info as this is all I have on the subject. I have full access to the script and server.
