We are developing software for the identification of necrosis in meningiomas and glioblastomas, using computational methods backed by data-driven techniques and domain knowledge of neuropathology. We developed a deep learning model that combines domain knowledge with convolutional neural networks (CNNs) to detect necrosis in meningiomas. This meningioma-trained model is also capable of identifying necrosis in other brain regions (LLG/GBM). The model achieved an accuracy of 97% on meningiomas, 93% on GBM, 100% on LLG.
