One Week's Work on a C++ Project

Seeking a VC++ coder to make changes to a small utility application.

Our application flashes messages around the user's computer screen. We have been working with a coder to improve the interface as per the bid at:

Unfortunately the coder has now bunked out on us, leaving us with an EXE yet no source.

The changes are mainly cosmetic... and cost just $50. We need new buttons adding, and can provide the EXE version for you to compare against. There were also a number of bugs in the EXE he provided which need fixing, listed below.

We need a coder to do what he did... basically revamp the interface and fix the below bugs.

It should take a good coder just a couple of days. Your bid should be for the entire JOB, not per hour.

We also need someone with initiative, to fix smaller issues that may not be connected to the issues listed below.

The source is confidential and we need to vigorously protect our rights, therefore we will only choose a coder of the highest integrity and professionalism.

*NO CRAZY BIDS*. We are an established buyer and may end up working for a long time with the chosen bidder.

FYI, here are the actual bugs. These are all relatively SIMPLE to fix. Full source provided to winning bidder:

* "Automatically start with Windows" feature doesn't always work, as application is not always registering name correctly (we KNOW how to fix this, VERY simple bug)

* A look at how "messages" are displayed in the application, and how to "split" them up (ie, \n is probably a good idea... after so many letters. OR, if it just displays the whole sentence, that's fine)

* Small error where a large MP3 is loaded, then the application goes to task bar. If double-clicked on quickly, MP3 still plays and doesn't pause

* Music feature doesn't always work!

* Cancel button on "Music" screen doesn't work properly

* Deleting items from "Music" list never works properly... definitely needs looking at

* Adding an MP3 from the Music\ folder... then selecting one of the pre-installed MIDIs and clicking "Remove" actually removes the MP3s

* Possible memory leaks

* One more bug, will give details later (too much text to put here)

## Deliverables

1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.

2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):

a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.

b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.

3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
